Outside and Outings
To the front of the nursery we have an outside carpeted space for the use of children's cars, bikes and scooters. We have a large climbing frame with swings and a slide with safety matting. Good outdoor play space gives children the freedom to play creatively while allowing them to experience risk, challenge and excitement.
Horbury offers a wide choice of community space where children can be physically active and interact with nature and their friends. These places include Parker Road playing field and Dudfleet farm. A short walk from nursery is Horbury Park which is well equipped with rock climbing walls, swings, see- saws and a skate park with ramps.
Children may visit the local library and enjoy listening to stories with staff members. They also enjoy choosing books that they can bring back to nursery to share with the other children.
